Robby der Roboter graces the cover of this debut by German reedman Klein’s Tubes and Wires; such retro-futurism suits the quartet’s jazzrocktronica — bits and bytes of synthy music (“Track,” “Skip”) for flying saucer tape decks. But listeners with a creative jazz bent should strap in for the longer rides. “Snow” is an evocative, multifaceted gem, and the solemn “End” even features acoustic guitar. You might enjoy that down-to-earth touch. After all, you are not a robot. Dave Lynch

Magic in its purest form. I love Floating Points, I love Pharoah Sanders, I love The London Symphony Orchestra. It's a match made in heaven, and the result is absolutely gorgeous. I have loved this record since its release, and realized I don't own it for some reason. So its time to change that. 9.5/10 honestly could become a 10/10 on an indepth vinyl relisten. angrypizza98
The seventh full-length from De Beren Gieren walks the line between spooky library music and free improv, shapeshifting constantly. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 12, 2024
